Formed in 1968 and strategically located in the fertile, semitropical Rio Grande Valley of Texas, the founders of the Texas Citrus Exchange, addressed the opportunity for a fully integrated citrus organization to best serve the needs of its valuable customers in both fresh and processed products.

The fresh fruit division is housed in the Edinburg Citrus Association in Edinburg, Texas. TCX is the exclusive sales agent for ECA, a 200-grower member cooperative representing over 5,000 acres. The Texas Star, Tropic Moon, Tropic Valley and Mission Pride brands are known for top quality red grapefruit and oranges. ECA, with its modern growing, harvesting, and packing techniques along with the enlightened, progressive marketing programs of TCX, has emerged as the acknowledged leader in domestic fresh citrus sales. TCX IS THE SOLE CITRUS JUICE PROCESSING PLANT FOR ALL TEXAS CITRUS SHIPPERS

TCX is the sole citrus juice processing plant
for all Texas Citrus shippers.

TCX's processed division is located at its corporate headquarters in nearby Mission, Texas. TCX is also a growing and respected influence in worldwide fresh and processed citrus juice distribution.

Domestic shelf stable retail juices are enjoyed in the BIG TEX and TEXSUN labels as well as store brands (private label). Chilled juices come in the BIG TEX RIO RED label and bulk concentrated juices and by-products are sold in the exclusive RIO RED label.
